The Fine Print (a.k.a. Good to Know)

Food Allergies

Everything I bake is made without gluten-containing ingredients. I take precautions to minimize the risk of cross-contact, including using tools, equipment, and appliances that are dedicated to gluten-free baking. That said, Gruene Bake Haus operates out of a home kitchen that is not a certified gluten-free facility. If you have specific questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always happy to talk it through.

Texas Cottage Food Law

Gruene Bake Haus is a home-based business operating under the Texas Cottage Food Law. State law requires me to let you know that all baked goods are prepared in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Texas Department of State Health Services or a local health department.

Abandoned Orders

Life happens—but baked goods are perishable. If an order isn’t picked up on the agreed-upon date, it may be available for one additional day, depending on my availability. Freshness cannot be guaranteed after the original pickup date. Orders not picked up by the end of the second day will be disposed of. No refunds or replacements will be issued for abandoned orders.

Change Cutoff

Order changes can be made up to 5 days before your scheduled pickup date. After that, changes are subject to availability and may include a small fee if they can be accommodated. This includes changes to your pickup date.

In a Hurry?

I can’t always make last-minute magic happen—but I’ll try. Orders placed with a turnaround time of less than 72 hours will include a rush fee of either $20 or 50% of the total, whichever is higher.

Refunds

Refunds may be requested within 24 hours of payment acceptance, unless the order is a rush order. If I’ve already started your bake, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on how far along the process is. If you need to cancel, please reach out as soon as possible—communication helps everyone.

Price Adjustments

Prices may change from time to time, usually due to ingredient costs. Once your order is paid for, your price is locked in—no surprises.

It’s All Yours Now!

Once you’ve picked up your order (thank you again!), caring for your baked goods is up to you. Keep them safe, keep them cool, and maybe keep them out of reach of curious pets and tempted toddlers.
